The 'Deadhead' refers only to my attire, my rockin' tee by JunkFood Clothing. Certainly not a reference to my newly refreshed coif revitalized by Dianne Degnan of Sassoon Salon in Beverly Hills who consistently works her Scottish magic to keep my hair looking Farrah Fawcett flawless. I learned a stylist secret at my last visit to the salon called the 'Malibu' treatment. This is something stylist do to strip the hair of chemical build up due to bad water or high pressure water that is very common in areas such as Los Angeles and can be highly damaging to and even change the color of hair. She also mentions it is something only to be done twice a year since it literally strips the hair and deep cleanses like no other shampoo. So if you color your hair and actually want it to STAY that color, ask your colorist for a 'Malibu' treatment on your next visit.
I was inspired by my good hair day and flared jeans to share with you what I do on my days off. Typically consisting of reading, walking around Hollywood with my headphones on or perusing Record Parlor on Selma Ave for hidden gems to add to my vinyl collection. As of recent I have added a 40 year old Beatles 'Magical Mystery Tour' and Bad Company 'Desolation Angels' both of which I am not disappointed by. I've also added to my library which is becoming quite interminable. The addition of Gravity's Rainbow and The Alchemist should keep me wildly entertained for the next month.
