That's A Wrap on NYFW!

It is finally time for me to leave the 2 degree record breaking weather to head home to my always 65 sunshine and smog.
Fashion Week this season was interesting in many ways. Girls decided to freeze to show their style in the off chance that the photographer caught a good snap of them. However, that turned into the press actually mocking them for their non-functional fashion and sense of well being. Also, many sponsors did not seem to excited to be involved at the Lincoln Center for the one last go around with IMG and Mercedes Benz. No one seemed to know any concrete information on where the 'tents' would be relocating to, but below 34th seems to be the way most people are swaying. In terms of a new sponsor, I heard nothing despite my apt digging.
A trend I did notice and appreciate on the runway this season was the amp'd level of needing to entertain the audience versus the models simply speed walking the catwalk and the crowd being in and out in less than 15 minutes.
So at least the designers themselves, especially for the amount of money that invest in showing, are still excited to captivate.

So as unbearable as the cold was at times, it was still worth it to make the trip not only for the Lincoln Center send off but to enjoy the ever growing after parties with the brands, such as Cynthia Rowley party equip with Jell-O shots and construction workers, hosted at the new (and construction) site for her latest location.

So until next time, and when you have warmer weather.... au revoir NYC!
